Maltesers Cake

STEP 1

Butter and flour a 24cm diameter cake pan.

STEP 2
Melt chocolate and butter in a saucepan over low heat.

STEP 3
In a bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until frothy, add the flour to this mixture and beat again.

STEP 4
Add the chocolate-butter mixture to the bowl.

STEP 5
Pour the batter into a buttered and floured cake pan and bake at 180°C for 20 minutes.

STEP 6
Once the cake has cooled, prepare the ganache.

STEP 7
For the ganache, boil the cream, remove from heat, add the chocolate pieces and stir. Pour the ganache over the cake, covering the sides well. Decorate around the cake with the Fingers cut in half. Decorate the top of the cake with the Maltesers.
